Chip Barger joined the firm in 1993 to concentrate solely on representing injured clients after having practiced with a prominent regional commercial law firm. His practice is currently focused on serious automobile accidents, professional malpractice, nursing home abuse and general personal injury cases.

In 1997, Mr. Barger represented the owner of a large mobile home park in a legal malpractice case against a prominent Tallahassee lawyer and his law firm. Mr. Barger, along with his partner Sammy Cacciatore, obtained a $2.8 million verdict for their client. Even today, this verdict remains one of the largest of its kind ever obtained in Brevard County.

In addition, Mr. Barger has successfully represented numerous victims and/or their families in nursing home abuse cases and has secured significant recoveries on their behalf. In 2005, Mr. Barger obtained a $1.875 million recovery for the widow of a 73 year old nursing home resident who died of anaphylaxis after being attacked by fire ants while sleeping in his bed.

Mr. Barger is licensed to practice law in both Florida and Georgia and is a member of the Florida Justice Association as well as the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He is a Board Certified Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and has been awarded an AV^® rating by Martindale Hubbell. In the past Mr. Barger has served on the Board of Directors for the Brevard County Bar Association and as a member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit. Mr. Barger is also a member of numerous local, state and national bar associations.

Mr. Barger is married, has two children and is actively involved in the community. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Melbourne as well as the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge #1744. He is the President of the Beachside Little League and has served as President of Indian Harbour Beach Little League as well as on the Board of Directors of the South Brevard Sharing Center. Mr. Barger is an avid outdoorsman. He is a member of Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, the National Wild Turkey Federation, the Coast Conservation Association and the Space Coast Fly Fishing Association.
