Chip Barger joined the firm in 1993, after practicing with a prominent regional commercial law firm to concentrate solely on representing injured clients. His practice is currently focused on serious automobile accidents, professional malpractice, nursing home abuse, and general personal injury cases. In 1997, Mr. Barger represented the owner of a large mobile home park in a legal malpractice case against a well-known Tallahassee lawyer and his firm. Mr. Barger, along with his partner Sammy Cacciatore, obtained a $2.8 million verdict for their client. Even today, this verdict remains one of the largest of its kind ever obtained in Brevard County. In addition, Mr. Barger has successfully represented victims or their families in nursing home abuse cases and has secured significant recoveries on their behalf. Mr. Barger is a member of the Florida Justice Association as well as the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Barger is also a member of numerous local, state, and national bar associations. Mr. Barger is married and has two children. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Melbourne, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge #1744. He has served on the Board of Directors of the South Brevard Sharing Center as well as the Mercer Law School Alumni Board. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Barger is a member of Ducks Unlimited, the National Wild Turkey Federation, and the Space Coast Fly Fishing Association.
