Don’t Let Zantac Rob You of Your Health

You have probably seen commercials on the television regarding various lawsuits against the manufacturers of different medications. It really shouldn’t come as a surprise when you consider the commercials trying to sell us these medications. “Possible side effects include stomach pain, headaches, arm numbness, left foot randomly falling off, teeth growing out of your head, or sudden death…”. Yes, this sounds a bit silly, but some of the side effects seem that ridiculous. Yet, medication manufacturers try to convince us that we need these medications!

Are Certain Medications Causing Health Issues?

What happens when you don’t necessarily experience the side effects they warn you about but other side effects that are perhaps even more dangerous or life-threatening? If you feel a medication has caused health issues without the proper warning, call us at Nance Cacciatore. We can help you.

Specifically, we focus on Zantac cases. If you have been taking Zantac for six months or longer, we strongly urge you to continue reading.

Do You Suffer from Heartburn and Take Zantac?

Zantac is the name brand of the heartburn medication, ranitidine. The problem with ranitidine is that it contains NDMA, which has caused cancer and liver damage in laboratory testing on rats. The liver damage was noncancerous but caused internal bleeding and death. This substance, while not yet listed as a known carcinogen, is listed as being a likely carcinogen.

If your doctor told you to live uncomfortably with heartburn, take a safe medicine for heartburn, or take a prescription for heartburn that may kill you, which option would you choose? We are guessing you wouldn’t want the choice that could render you dead! But, when Zantac hit the market and became a widely used heartburn medication, consumers were not aware of its possible health risks.

If you or a loved one has been using Zantac for six months or longer, unfortunately, your health may be at risk. Cancers of the liver, stomach, small intestine, esophagus, or colon/rectum are the most likely diagnoses to occur. If the Zantac user in your life suffers from cancer or liver damage, it is time to take action.
