Nance Cacciatore recovered from a trucking company’s insurer in the last hour of our timed demand. The defendant truck had crashed into vehicles that had already been involved in an accident minutes earlier. The defense originally denied the claim arguing that darkness prevented the driver from seeing the crashed vehicles in the roadway. Nance Cacciatore was able to obtain the driving logs that showed the driver had driven more hours than permitted by NHTSA and other trucking regulations.
